Set the paddle length. The T-grip should be 25 cm above your head. About a bent slightly bent elbow length.
Turn the board by making a stroke to the tail at one side and to the nose at the other. To turn faster keep the paddle blade further away from the board.
Begin with the paddle at an arms length in front of you. Put the paddle in the water and make strokes backwards.

Get on board and stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Keep your knees flexed and eyes on the horizon.
